WORKSHOPS by Loralei Rose in NY Times Magazine!

6 Dec

This morning I woke up to the wonderful surprise of finding this link in my mailbox:

It lead me to a section of the NY Times Magazine where readers submitted photographs from around the world that illustrate the importance of educating girls and empowering women. In it was a PICTURE and DESCRIPTION OF ONE OF MY WORKSHOPS HELD AT UC BERKELY’S  2009 Women of Color Conference! The pix was taken by the wonderful Dianne Que.

As I sat, read and re-read the notes under the photo, I felt refreshed, re-energized, and re-inspired. I acknowledged the universe creeping into my gmail and giving me a huge love tap on the top of my head reminding me of the work I do and why I love doing it so much.

Pushing forward…
